Compared to most email editors there are very few font choices available within Emma.  Do you plan to add more?  Most web editors allow Google fonts.

Hi there!  The short answer is YES, we do have plans on adding in additional fonts.

As far as Google Fonts, I wouldn't be able to speak directly.  The fonts that are made available are ones that we are confident will render in the most email clients, so that limits the list a bit.

I don't have a direct time-frame on these improvements, but I do know that our developers are working on a slew of improvements to the editor, and changing out our text-editor tools is going to be a part of that, including adding new font possibilities.

All that said, STAY TUNED!  :)

Any timeline on this now?  I am rather desperate for additional fonts, including a readable script for headlines, and am considering changing to another email service to get them.  Would really hate to do that as I love Emma!

Hey there.  I don't have any specific timelines.  I know that the team in charge of working on the editor has a lot of great things planned for this upcoming quarter, but I do not think that specifically is on the timeline.

I'll be sure to post back here when I get more information on that, though!

I appreciate the desperation in your voice there!   The harsh truth on this is email client's ability to render fun fonts!

Of course we will always be working on making improvements and adding in things as we can, but it should also be noted that if a device or computer doesn't have a specific font installed or available for that specific program, you could run into some real issues with your text rendering in default fonts for the program which could look very ugly.

So yes, we would LOVE it if Outlook and Gmail and iOS devices (etc) would add in support for more fonts universally, but until then we are at the mercy of what are considered "web safe" fonts.  We only want you to be able to design things that we know will render in the inbox.

I'll make sure to post here if I do hear anything about changes we're going to make to the font choices!
