Additional option to 'opt out" and "error"

It would very helpful to have a 3rd option instead of  'opt out" and "error". Many of our customers are seasonal and would prefer not to receive emails during certain times of the year.

It would be very helpful to have an option to "disable' a customer rather than assign them to 'error". We certainly don't want to opt them out and it is very cumbersome to figure out which are actually delivery errors. I am currently handling this via lists, but again it is cumbersome because in order to keep them from being on the active list, I have to set them to 'error".

It would be great to have a tab or a category for "disabled" or "inactive" customer emails.

Hi there Sue!

That is a great idea!   You can also give your contacts the option to select when they would like to receive your email campaigns on your signup forms.  For example, you can create a 'select multiple' contact field and add some choices such as Summer, Winter, etc.  Once that data is tied to your contact records, you can then create a segment pulling all contacts who chose Summer as their preference, or Winter, etc.  When you send out mailings, you send directly to the segments you created based on the option your contact selected, i.e. Summer.  Also, segments are dynamic so they will update automatically as new contacts are using your signup forms.

You can create the contact field something like this:

Then you can create segments for each option like this:

If you need any help with creating a new contact field or creating segments, give me a shout.  I am always happy to help!
