Timed snapshots of advanced mailing response analytics

We'd like to take a look at our email success in timed snapshots, not based on individual emails. So essentially, is there a way to get a month report that would display all the emails sent during that month with their basic analytics attached?

Good morning! There might be a couple ways to get the data you want:

First, you can click and drag on your Response page’s "Response trends over time” graph to zoom in on the month or months you’d like a closer look at.

Or, you can compare up to five mailings at a time by clicking the Compare mailings button at the top-right of Response.

Would either of these get the analytics you need? What are you looking for when you say “basic analytics” — clicks, opens, opt-outs, etc.? Let me know! If it’s a feature we don’t have, I’m happy to pass along the idea to our product owners.

The "compare mailings" feature is helpful. And yes, those are the basic analytics we are looking for, but across all campaigns from the month. Additionally, we'd like to break those analytics down by the different audiences (or groups, as I think they are called) we are sending to.

Along these lines, it would also be nice to see a list of all emails a certain group has received in the past month. I know you can see all emails an individual has received but what about the group they belong to?

Thanks for the clarification! I’m checking in with our product owners to learn more about how they see this.

As for seeing how a specific group has performed, you might take a look at this idea, which is along the same lines. Would love to get your input there!

Hi Katie,

Yes, I think that is exactly what we are looking for. The suggestion you linked to is helpful, although does create extra work. I'll be interested to see if that technology can come to life in Emma in the near future.

Here there!

Thanks for the feedback. Visualizing and interacting with data is a theme we'll be exploring in the second half of the year. Aggregate data across mailings for a specified duration of time, filterable and sortable by specific mailing(s) and audience group(s) is a use case we not only want to provide, but make approachable and fun to use. We're envisioning a tagging structure to query the data for what you'd like to see.

It sounds like if you had the ability to choose:
* which audience group(s)
* what time period
* which mailing(s)

To pull back metrics you're looking for (opens, click-through, shares, etc,), we would cover the aggregate email data in timed snapshots (e.g. all emails in February) *and* it would be displayed for the groups you care about. Would that cover it?

It sounds like you've given this some pretty good thought, so we'd love to send some early prototypes your way when we're at a good place to share. Would you be up for providing some additional feedback down the road?

Thanks, and we'll keep you posted!

Hi David,

Thanks for the insight. I think those additions would be helpful. We'd love to take these new options for a test drive when they are available!

Best,
Kailee
