API calls timing out

We are calling the Emma API (api.em2a.com) and are getting frequent time outs when we try to call the update_field endpoint. This started occurring at about 12:49 AM PDT on April 21, 2016 (7:35 AM UTC April 21, 2016).

Are there any known issues with the API service? The Emma status page shows all good at the moment but we are still hitting frequent timeouts currently.
