Assign team members to multiple sub-accounts

Currently the agency account setup does not allow the same user to be a team member on multiple sub-accounts. When I attempt to invite a team member to join a second sub-account, I receive an error and am unable to invite them because they are "already a member."

The "solution" of making such users managers is a non-starter. We want people to have access to two out of three accounts only, or restricted access to all three, but not full access to every account.

This seems like a basic feature for effectively managing teams. Hopefully we can get a fix soon!

Hi Jason,

Are you aware that, in creating a Manager login, you can choose what accounts they have access to?

(we are currently dealing with the AWS outage and so I can't get screenshots for you)

With managers you can:
- choose what sub-accounts they have access to
- if managers are not allowed into "ALL" accounts, they will not have access to the Assets section of your account either
- choose whether they have access to billing
- choose whether they can create accounts
- Managers do have full access to the subs that they are given permissions to (i.e. there's not an "author" or "response only" version of a Manager)

It sounds like that MIGHT be an option for you to meet your goals, but if what you're looking for is the ability to create an "Author" or "Response Only" Manager login, I'm happy to put that feature request in for you.  We're always looking for ways to improve our system based on our customers' needs.

If you wouldn't mind, let me know a little more specifically about your use-case so I can make sure to have a good understanding of what you're trying to achieve.

Cheers!

Yeah, I was expecting that I could setup teams without simply using a team of managers of various access.

Specifically we want to allow our graphic designers access to create/edit campaigns, templates, and assets on certain accounts but they do not need full access to audience lists, response, so on.

The various manager permissions is a possible work-around for now. Ideally the Manage Team feature would function properly in either 1) recognizing that a user is not a part of a sub-account team and allow them to be added, or 2) providing a master account-level team list that allows for sub-account and permission assignment of each user.

Side note: When I posted my response and was asked to login, I tried to use my Emma Account, but clicking the button to login with Emma simply opened a new window that brought me to my Emma main account page. The login did not bring me back to my post or actually connect my Emma login to the post the way logging in through Google did.

Yes, that happens to me as well. I created a separate log in to access the community.

Thanks for the extra info there Jason.  I'll add in that information to your feature request!

Likely the login issues you were experiencing yesterday were due to the AWS outage that was affecting us.  Everything should be back to normal now.

Cheers!

Hello Grey,

I noticed this post was 6 months ago. I am also curious if this feature is being worked on or if there is an alternative solution.

We are on the university enterprise tier plan and we would also like to add the same individual to multiple sub account.

Managers are allowed 'full access' aka they can send emails; however, I wanted to give team members 'response-only' permission to all sub accounts and give some team members 'editor' permission to a few accounts as well. Giving them manger access doesn't allow for those granular permission.

Any updates?

Hi there Tina!   I know that adding in different, customizable options for access levels to give to managers is something that we're working on.

I'm not sure how far away we are from launching that, but I'll be sure to update this post when we do know something more!

Thanks for the feedback!

Any update on this? I am with a university and we need author access for one person on multiple accounts but cannot give them full manager access.
