I'm on the university enterprise plan and wanted to see if there is a way to find a contact by searching any of the data that are recorded in the contact fields? When i tried, nothing populated. Reading through past posts, it looks like ya'll are only looking at email and name fields. Is there any plans on expanding the search functionality?

For example, student id is a contact field we upload and it would be great if we could find a contact through their id to view their email history.

I know that we could create a "segment" however it seems silly to do a segment to find 1 person in the audience.

Hi Tina,

You're correct that we are only searching through the email and name fields when you use the search bar function, but I know that we are planning on expanding that to be much more useful for performing the type of search you are needing. I'll make sure that we continue tracking the feedback and requests for this feature to be added so our developers can prioritize it accordingly.

In the meantime, an export of your audience/group would be a solid method of searching your audience by data in their fields. Running a "find" command in excel will pull up the contact's row so you can know which email address to pull up in Emma. It's certainly not an ideal solution, but until we can add the additional search capabilities this will be your best bet.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this!
