Automated email based on lead added to group isn't firing

Thanks Emily. That worked great. Unfortunately, another roadblock was waiting right behind it.

So we're using a Salesforce.com form to collect leads rather than an Emma form. Our team has built a little script that will take a lead and add it to an Emma group based on the information they choose in the form. That all appears to be working great and the new lead appears in Salesforce in the correct Emma group and it appears in the right group in the Emma web interface.

The problem is that I'm trying to automatically send an email as soon as that lead is added to the group and the workflow doesn't seem to be firing. I've set the trigger event for the automation to be "all" which I understand is when anyone is added to the group either by a form  or the add button or an API. Still no luck.

Any thoughts?

Hi Jeff -- We actually just discovered on Wednesday that the API call being used in the Salesforce integration isn't triggering our new automation feature. We already have a ticket in movement with our outside Salesforce developers to correct which call is used there. This fix should be in place within the next week or two. 

I'll be sure to follow up here when I hear that things are rolling again there!

I'm managing the regression testing of the upgraded Connected App version of the Emma for Salesforce integration.
