Background image isn’t visible

The background image in my email looks fine in the editor and preview but when it is sent it is not appearing in the email. The email is "RD email - Nov 2013"

I'm sorry for the unpleasant surprise in your inbox! I sent myself a test and in my email client, Mac Mail, I do see the background image, so the good news is that some of your email recipients probably see the email design as you intend it, even though you do not. What's going on in your email is most likely due to the fact that background images are not universally supported across all email clients. Consequently, you need to be mindful of the do's and don'ts when you're using them in HTML for email.

The image rendered in Emma because you are looking at a webpage when you drop your HTML code into a campaign in the application. The difference in your inbox is due to the fact that when you receive an email, it's up to your email program to be able to render the code as you have written it. That's why we encourage you to use the TEST email feature to check out any campaign in your inbox before you send it to your entire audience.
