Best way to not send multiple campaigns to a person who already expressed interest

We send out several e-mail marketing campaigns for our conferences. Is there a way to easily remove those people who have registered for the conference from receiving future promotional e-mails for the that conference? We do not want to permanently remove them from our group but only for the continuation for the e-mail campaign.

Did you do something similar to this when promoting your first Emma conference?

Hey there -- this is a great question! You can definitely accomplish this using our segmenting tool and a little bit of manual effort. :)
What we've been doing is exporting our list of ticket buyers from our ticketing agent and then suppressing those folks from the email sends by segmenting. This would be as simple as importing that list into a new group, then creaing a segment that finds anyone in Group A (your original send list) who is not in Group B (ticket buyers). This keeps your original send list in tact!

If you wanted to suppress folks who had "shown interest" in the event, you could suppress just the contacts who have clicked. You can easily save your list of contacts from the clicks tab in a mailing response as a segment, then copy that segment to a group to be used in creating a suppression segment.

You could also send separate messaging to folks who have clicked and not purchased to try and urge them along in the "buying process." You can find helpful tips on segmenting here! Let me know if I can help futher!
