Hello. We've been using Emma for our email marketing for several years and have found it to be a brilliant service, so keep up the good work.

As our audiences grow, we want to create more targeted email which we acknowledge can be done with segments and/or separate groups.

However, a query that has been raised is to determine:
• How often members in our audience open our emails
• How many members have opened an email in the last 12 months.

Is there any way of tracking this information? Such as individual open rates etc. at a glance, without having to check the 'Response' tab per mailing?

Hi!

Joshua from Emma support here! Thank you for the kind words about our services, it's customers such as you that keep us on track to do better.

You are certainly correct that segmenting is the best way to get that information together; with a segment, you can find out how many  members in your audience opened your emails. By finding contacts based on response history and narrowing that segment down to contacts who have opened any mailing between a custom date range (you can find a great article about segments and how to set this up here).

Finding out how often members in your audience open your emails, you will need to set a specific time frame. Do you want to know often they open those mailings inside a month? A week? You can use the same general formula as above; specifying anytime, between a set of date, or within x day (or weeks). If you'd want an average of that, between two time frames, you can also download a detail performance report (from your response tab, you can find instructions here).

Cheers!
