Campaign sent on wrong day

Yesterday (1/19/16) I scheduled two campaigns. One to go out today (1/20/16) and one to go out tomorrow (1/21/16). I received a copy of both campaigns in my inbox today as a recipient. When I check my dashboard under campaigns, One shows as sent (correct) and the other shows has scheduled for tomorrow (1/21/16), which is correct. However, under Response, both appear and were 100% delivered. Not sure how this happened? Not wanting to have the same email go out again, tomorrow, I attempted to cancel the 1/21/16 campaign, however I get this error message: There was an error canceling the selected mailings. It is possible the mailing status has changed. Please try reloading this page. Contact support if the problem persists.

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out to us. I located and reviewed your account and was able to cancel the mailing that was still showing in that scheduled status. You may still see that mailing listed on the scheduled tab but it won't actually send a second time. To be clear, it might have sent had you not contacted us for assistance.

The problem that you ran into here is one that our developers are currently working to correct and we expect a fix to be released in the next couple of weeks. We haven't received a significant number of reports about this issue and it required a good bit of testing on our side to identify what was causing the loophole.

I'd love to know if you noticed anything odd in your browser behavior while completing or scheduling these mailings. Did you use multiple browser tabs or windows? Do you remember using your browsers back button to navigate away from the 'review and send' page prior to actually completing the scheduling process? Did a page happen to reload in any unusual way? I'd love any details you share as I'd like to pass that to our development team to insure we fully correct the problem.

I've added your account to the list of users that have run into this system problem. I'll add an update here once we've corrected the problem which allowed this to happen.

Thanks so much for the quick response and canceling the campaign for me. I appreciate it!

When I scheduled the email that sent on the wrong date, it was in the process of scheduling but was just spinning and spinning so I had hit the back button to start over. It went to the review and send page and allowed me to proceed with scheduling. In the campaigns tab under scheduled it showed the two emails I scheduled that day with their respective send dates (1/20 and 1/21). The 1/21 email never showed as being scheduled for 1/20 in the dashboard.

Hi,

Thanks so much for those additional details. That experience lines up with what we have seen in some internal testing. The good news is that the loophole allowing that mailing to be scheduled at the wrong time, should be corrected in the next couple of weeks.

If you are scheduling a mailing and all pages load properly and the use of the back button is not needed, then you should see those mailings send as expected.
