There's no way to copy contacts from a a regular group to a test group is there? You have to add them manually, correct?

You sure can.

Open your original group, select the contacts you want, and then hit the "copy them" button at the top of the list. You can create a new test group from those or put them into a Test group that's already been created - just select which one you want.

For a little visual aid, here's where you open your contacts, select the ones you want to put into a test group, and click the "copy them" button next to the "selected contacts" drop down menu bar. If you wanted the whole group, you could select "all contacts" instead.

The next option you get is this:

There, you click "copy to group" and select the Test group you've already created, or make a new one from this menu. Sure beats having to export your contacts and re-upload them manually into a new group.

My Test Group that I've already created doesn't show up in the list of groups using this method. Why is that?

Hi Ginni! I'm glad to take a look -- In which sub-account are you working? And is the group called simply Test Group?

Greg with Emma Support here!

UTK- Communications and Marketing, I'm looking into the problem you mentioned with being unable to copy to test groups.

I'll post again once I have more to share.

Looking into our test groups feature, there is not a way to copy contacts into a test group en masse.

To move a contact into a test group:

Find the contact in your Audience (you can do so quickly using the search box in the upper right of your Audience tab).

Click the down arrow to the right of the contact and select "View this contact's record"

At the Contact Information screen that comes up, check the test group you'd like the contact to be in (in the Groups section to the right) and click Save.

The contact will then be in the test group going forward.
