Can I create Segments based on the time of day subscribers open my emails?

I'd like to track which subscribers open up my emails at a specific time of day. Ultimately we'd like to send a single campaign to subscribers when they are more likely to open the emails. So we'd send one batch in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Using past subscriber activity data, is there a way to gather this data to use for future campaigns?

Greg with Emma Support here!

While there's not a way to sort opens by time of day within Emma, you can definitely export your mailings' response data (including what time a contact opened a mailing) and sort it in a program like Excel. You could then take the sorted data and re-import it into new groups in Emma (one morning, one afternoon, and one evening) to give the effect you're looking for.

Let me know if you have any questions.
