Can I insert a 'Forward Email' link or button in the body of email?

I'd LOVE to have a "forward this email" button more prominently placed in my email (rather than in the footer). Hate to use this manipulation approach, but look who is offering such:

Have I missed something or does Emma not offer this?

Hi there,

You can create a forward button by using the button feature in the editor and in the URL section putting in the forward tag:
[% share:email url_only="true" %]

This will allow you to put the share/forward feature more prominently in your mailing.

Thanks, Laura! But here's what I got (all that blue part with the little envelope in front) when I put that into a button:

I am getting the same blue box in my test emails. Does that code snippet ([% share:email url_only='true' %]) no longer work??

Hi there Marc, so sorry for the delay getting back to you.  That tag SHOULD work.  Can you point me to a mailing in your account that you're having issues with it?

I archived a copy of the email that wasn't working so that I could remove the button and send without it. The name of the email is now SciWire FL 1/24/18 - Saved copy for troubleshooting.

Got it!   Took a bit of digging but I was able to identify the issue.

It looks like, when using the button block, you actually need to use the tag but with DOUBLE QUOTES around the word TRUE.  So it should look like this:

[% share:email url_only="true" %]

It comes down to how the button block is rendered, those single quotes were causing the issue.  I'm going to go ahead and fix that on Laura's post above as well.

I wonder if you were having the same issue as Marc,

It looks like, when using the button block, you actually need to use the tag but with DOUBLE QUOTES around the word TRUE.  So it should look like this:

[% share:email url_only="true" %]

Let me know how that goes!
