I gave everyone who answered a survey a $5.00 electronic gift certificate.

I have a file with several hundred custom URLS and custom unlock keys.

I set up an email with personalization. I would like to be able to use ONE picture of the virtual gift card and use a personal hyperlink behind it so that each person gets their unique URL and below that, a unique unlock code. (Provided to prevent theft.)

Since this isn't really an option in Emma in the image dialog box, I copied and pasted the placeholder as an example, and it seems to work correctly.

I want to confirm that this is the right way to do this, that the merge will actually happen and each of the 500 URLS will be automagically merged.

Thank you for the advice or confirmation that I did this right.

Hello—

Have you tried sending it to a test group and seeing if their unique URLs get pulled? This is probably the best way to test whether or not the links will work.

I have, but I can't waste these links. But you gave me a good idea. I think I can make up some dummy links (they don't have to be the exact format) to see if they change... Thanks for the idea. Right in front of me! (Shakes head!!!)

Hello!

I think a great suggestion by Bethany to do some testing to make sure this renders the way you expect.

For the image, you could also bring in an image block, and place your personalization tag behind the image for it to be a static image but link to the appropriate URL.

For a visual on the URL field behind the image block, feel free to check out our image block here:

It looks like your personalization is setup correctly and includes the fields shortcut name "challenge-code".

I hope this helps!

Thanks,

Zach
