Can I pull a contact list report that shows when the contact was last sent a message?

I am looking to clean up my contact list. I have inherited managing our email campaigns and have found the audience lists are a bit of a mess. Basically, the previous owner just uploaded a new list for each campaign.

I want to purge some old contacts based on when they were last sent a message. Ideally, I'd love to also have a report that shows when the contact last opened and clicked on an email.

Is this report possible?

Hi there,

You'll be able to organize your audience with the list segmentation tool in your account. You can segment your audience based on response history, including received, opened, and clicks, and you'd be able to export those lists, or take specific actions once they've been isolated to their own segment.

The function is very similar for all 3 searches. You'll just head to the Audience page of your account, click the "Segments" tab, and then click the "Create a new segment" button toward the right side of the page. From there, you'll have the option to search based on 4 main criteria/categories: Audience groups, Contact information, Response history, and Signup/manage prefs history. For your interests, you'll want to select "Response history" and click "Add".

From here, it's just a matter of deciding which particular response action you'd like to target- the process is the same for each of these, so I'll just offer a screenshot of how I'd set up my segment criteria if I were looking for members who haven't received an email in the last 30 days:

Once you've set the criteria you want, just click the Add button, and then "Done". Then it's just a matter of giving the segment a name (I named this segment "Have not received in 30 days".

Once you've named and saved the segment, it'll show up in your Audience under the segment tab, and you'll be able to send to that segment, or delete members from that segment. If you open that segment in your Audience page, you'll see an "Export segment" button toward the top of the list, and you can use that to export that list of contacts in a spreadsheet if you need it outside of Emma for any reason.

You'll find more on the segment feature in our Resource Center here. And, this is also a great Resource Center article that may help.

I hope this helps- don't hesitate to let me know if you have more questions!
