Can I sync previous unsubscribes with Shopify's imported list?

Hi! I have had my Shopify store for about 3 years, using MailChimp for my list until now. When I started my Emma account & integrated Shopify, Emma imported all of my Shopify customers (who accept marketing), but many of them, I'm sure, have opted out over the years from our mailing list over at MC. I have csv of 170 opt-outs; is there a way to sync that with my new Emma Shopify list so that I don't inadvertently use this handy list to send to people who have opted out?

Hi there!

The best way to do this would be to import those opted out contacts directly in your Emma account into their own group.  Once they are in their own group, open up that group and click the dropdown menu at the top of the page to select all contacts in the group and click the change their status button and select the Opt Out option.

This will change all of the contacts in your audience to opt out so that Emma will not send any campaigns to those contacts.

That should do the trick!  Feel free to reach out with any questions or if there is anything else I can do to help!
