Is it possible to send transactional emails via Emma?  I have an application where I would like to setup a template... then call to Emma from my application to send out an email using that template (passing in some substitution values that are specific to the person receiving the email) and send it out... then have a webhook that is listening for that particular category of message to pull the message into our CRM system (as well as track updates to it, ie. Opens, link clicks, etc)

Hey there!  Thanks for reaching out!   I was just checking in with our product team on this.  I'll go over a few things with you regarding this concept:

1. You can use the Emma Event API to trigger marketing emails based on activities that take place outside of Emma.

Check out our Event API intro resource (and subsequent articles linked therein): http://support.e2ma.net/Resource_Center/Account_how-to/Event_API

(note: Emma Event API is only available to Plus and Premium account types... you are currently on Plus, so you're good, but I wanted to post that for other folks who may check out this conversation)

2. These messages are able to be triggered by just about anything, but they're not "transactional" in the legal sense (i.e. receipts, Terms of Service updates, etc.). Recipients will still need to be part of the customer's Emma audience, and all of our opt-out logic still applies.

3. Our product team is interested in looking into offering transactional messages in the future.  If you're looking for legitimate transactional messaging, and not just a flexible trigger, Cody from our product team would love to talk a bit more with you about your specific needs.  If you're interested, let me know the best way to get hold of you and I'll pass it along!
