Can I pass one or more custom field values from an audience group to SurveyMonkey?

I'd like to create a relationship between my survey results on SurveyMonkey  and a database table on my web server by using its identity column.

Hello! It sounds as though you want to use our API to connect fields you’ve created in Emma to SurveyMonkey; is that right?

If so, it seems like that’s something you’ll want to consult SurveyMonkey for help with. I found this page on their website, and there may be different support options when you’re logged into your SurveyMonkey account; I’m not sure how that looks.

Keep me posted here, and also please let me know if I’m not quite understanding your goal.

That's correct, I want to use "custom data tags" within the email message to include an ID as the value of a hidden field on the survey.  I guess I could manually setup an email collector to send out invitations but I was hoping to use the Emma API because I can add members programmatically from my web server. I'm not familiar with SurveyMonkey's API but from what I've read so far, it looks like I am not allowed to add/post members to an email collector from my domain using SurveyMonkey's API.

If SurveyMonkey’s API doesn’t allow that, there isn’t a way for us to make that work, either. Could you ask for your survey-takers’ email addresses or other identifying information as a field in your survey? Then you could import that information into your Emma account.

I have the solution!

According to this article in surveymonkey's help center
"Custom Variables is a logic feature that allows you to track data about respondents by passing one or more values through a survey link and into your survey results."

So, as you stated, I cannot do this using your integration with surveymonkey but I can by dynamically generating web links using fields I’ve created in Emma!

like this:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/your_survey?name_first=[name_first]

Phew!!
I thought I was going to have to create my own survey application!
