Okay, I know how to delete this thing, but it has no margins or padding and because of that I can't hover my mouse over it long enough to get the pointer to the delete button. Not sure how you will fix this, until then I will be slowly scooting my mouse to try and get it to the delete button. LOL

Thanks!!

LOL! I was able to delete it. I mainly wanted to alert you guys that this has happened to me numerous times. Is there any way you could add maybe a right click > delete on the drag and dropped items?

I see this problem has been happening for a long time, and I'm having the same issue.  The only way I can get the dialog box to appear is when I mouse over the divider at one of the margins, but the box disappears as I'm trying to move the mouse to it.  Hovering over the divider in the middle of the page only brings up the dialog boxes of the two images it separates!  Extremely annoying - especially since the fixes are numerous and pretty easy.  Emma could allow us to double click to freeze the box open until we click something inside of it or close it another way, or have the dialog box open up outside of the active windows in the document, like the other setting windows do, or allow a cntrl delete option.  Come on, Emma, please fix this~!~

Hey Brandi! When you drag in a divider, it has margins by default to help you grab it and move it around:

At some point in the editing process, the margins were removed from your divider, making it a bit more difficult to hover over:

You can't delete by right-clicking; only clicking on the trash can icon will delete. I'm sorry to hear this is happening numerous times! If you'd like to adjust the space around the divider, you can hover over it and click Options to get to the floating styles toolbar:

I've been having this issue too. Without any margins, my cursor only highlights the text boxes and/or image boxes it sits in between. The only way I can get to it is by moving all of the boxes around until it finally "falls" to the bottom of a row.

Sorry to hear it, Trevor! It’s much easier to delete that divider when it has margins.

If you go really slow....with your mouse, sometimes you can catch it.  It's like a game!!!! The divider line is the mouse, and well....your mouse is the cat.

LOL I'm sorry....I know it's frustrating, but that was literally what I was doing. :)

lol for sure! I'm hitting a dead line so the little game was getting a little frustrating haha. Definitely a lesson for next time to save removing the margins until the end.
