If I type in <li style="color: #FFFFFF"> in order to change the color of the bullets in a list of text it will change the color (in this case to white). However, no matter what I do next, when I come back to the email the bullet color switches back to default. I am building these emails so that the salespeople in my organization can send them. This creates a massive problem. Help?

Hello!

The behavior you're describing where the color of the bullets may change but leaving/reloading the campaign reverts them back to their default is something that I have definitely run into before. There isn't anything we can do to prevent that from occurring in an Emma text block, but we can get around this by using an HTML block in Emma.

When using an HTML block, the style element will be retained and won't be reverted when leaving an re-opening the campaign. You could use a snippet of code like this:

<ul style="color: #69c1e8; font-size: 15px"><li>Bullet 1</li><li>Bullet 2</li><li>Bullet 3<br></li></ul>

I realize this may be a big process change, but it is the only way we can get around the behavior of the bullet list styling when applied to an Emma text block.

Let me know if you have any questions on this!

How do I do this for links? Emma keeps changing my link colors. I've tried adding some CSS but nothing is working.

Hey there Mallory,

If you are adding CSS into a text block or an HTML block, it will likely not work as expected since there is already CSS in the template itself.

You should be able to use the color picker after linking your text to change the color.

Else, if you're looking for the coding version, check out this post:  https://community.myemma.com/emma/topics/how-do-i-change-the-type-color-of-a-email-hyperlink-in-this...

That should give you what you need!

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Help!  I'm hoping to send a mailing out today and am having this same problem with the bullets changing color even though I manually changed the HTML.  I don't understand how to fix it.  Any help from Emma would be appreciated - thanks!
