My client would like to know how they can go about doing a bulk clean out of their groups.  They are using Emma integrated with SalesForce.  They want to consolidate some groups and remove others.  What is the best way to go about this?  Can they export to excel and clean up there and import again? What do you recommend?

Hey there CantaloupeDigi!

Thanks for asking.

I checked with a member of my team who works with the Salesforce integration every day.

He thinks the solution here would be pretty straightforward, and advises that you:

- create reports in Salesforce that have the people for the new consolidated groups
- delete the old ones
- and finally, create new consolidated groups using those reports.

Hope this helps!

Hey there, thanks for this response

Then when we move it back into Salesforce with the new groups will they populate?  Not sure we understand.  Can you please explain in a bit more detail?

Hey there, I checked in with my Salesforce folks and they said:

"yes the new groups that are created should populate if the reports they're based on have contacts/leads."

Let me know if you have any more questions!
