Complaints about Lightbox form continuing to pop up after signing up for list

We've had several complaints from visitors to our Shopify site (, that even after joining our mailing list, our Lightbox form continues to pop up. Even if they don't wish to sign up, it should only pop up once a day for those users. Can you tell me what might be going on? And what changes you might suggest to avoid this frustration from our shoppers in the future?

Hey there! 

Got it. I did check, and it is set up to show up "Every 1 days". The Lightbox form is built to remember when someone has signed up, and it utilizes browser cache and cookies to recognize that. So if the user clears their cache and cookies, visits from another browser, or from a different computer, we don't have a way to recognize that they've already signed up. 

Is it possible this is what's happening?
