Contact info not saving

I'm trying to fix the contacts under "error" in "all contacts" and my corrections are not saving. What do I do?

Hi there -- Are you opening individual contact records from that list of errors and making changes there? Are you editing the email address or other details, and does it give you an error or message of some kind or do the changes just not stick after you hit save?

Yes I am. I am editing the email address and adding names and changing groups. It tells me that the person has already been created and to make changes below which I had already made.

Thanks for those details! I think I know what's going on here.

Emma uses the email address as the unique identifier for your contacts. So, if you're attempting to change an email address to a version that already exists in active status somewhere in the account, it will not let you change that error address. It's likely that you have the correct and incorrect version of several addresses in your account. 

You can search your audience for the address you're trying to update that to and make the necessary revisions to that contact record instead!
