Create option to set link color from within the Edit Link box

Just chiming in here.  I don't see how black could possibly be the best possible default hyperlink color... the average user would not think to click on it.  There should really be an option within the "edit link" dialog box for text color (which would preferably stay at the last-used setting).

Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Links are black, not blue.

Good morning! I want to check in about your workflow -- It sounds like instead of highlighting your link and selecting a link color using the toolbar:

you're hoping to be able to edit the link color here:

Is that the case?

Same page now! I'm checking in with our Product Team, specifically the folks who work on the editor, to see if this is on their radar and so we can think through how it might work.

Stay tuned. :)

Hello again! Color options specifically in the link popup aren't planned, but global styles are, which sounds like what you're getting at. In that scenario, you could create your email and then change all the link colors at once. You might also have predefined/saved styles like brand colors that could be applied to the entire email (including links) in a couple clicks.

We're actively trying to solve the larger problem of applying styles across a mailing. That probably won't happen in the link popup, however. I'm glad you shared your idea! It helps to understand where the sticking points are for you.

I'd like to be kept updated on this. Our emails mostly use reds, so it's incredibly frustrating that our links automatically use a blue underline. I can change the text color, but not the color of the underline - and there is no way to get rid of the underline either so far as I can tell.

Hey there!  By commenting on this thread, you will be notified of updates that we post here (assuming your Community settings allow it).

I saw on your other thread that you were able to get the coding worked out.  HERE'S THE LINK TO THAT THREAD if anyone else needs it!

Cheers!
