How do I create a line of space between paragraphs in an article? Pressing "enter" doesn't create a line of space, and using the spacing tool in the editor doesn't do anything either.

I jumped into your campaign called "Deacon in the Making 2" to check out the spacing. In each text box, I'm able to place my cursor at the end of a paragraph and hit Enter on the keyboard to space down. Here's an example before I hit Enter:

and after:

It sounds as though this isn't happening for you, so I may be in the wrong campaign. A couple things could be happening:
  1. Your text might have been pasted from another source, such as Microsoft Word, and the formatting there isn't compatible in an email environment. That pasted-in text is fighting with the editor's tools, preventing the spacing from working properly. Try pasting your text into a plaintext editor like editpad.org, then copying from there and pasting into a new text box. That should allow you to better control the spacing between paragraphs.
  2. I don't think this is the case, but you might be using an incompatible web browser, such as Internet Explorer 7 or 8.
Keep me posted!

I am wondering how to adjust the height of the space between paragraphs without changing the linespacing of the text IN the paragraph. In the campaign I'm working on (text entered directly, not pasted from somewhere else), when I hit return it seems to give me about 3/4s of the height of my 14 pt text as a space between paragraphs, but I want the height of the space to be the full 14 height. A full line's height.

The spacing of the "after" example above is just what I want but that's not happening for me.

If I do an extra line space, it is too much. When I use the line height button, it changes the spacing of the paragraph text too. What is the solution here?

Erika, are you able to hold down Shift and press Enter/Return a couple times to space down one line at a time?

Yes! That works! I don't understand why it has to be that complicated and non-intuitive, but I am happy to know the answer now. Thanks Katie.
