Do Subject Lines Set in Automations - Override Those Saved To The Email Campaign?

If I have an automation set up - and enter subject lines in at that point, do I then need to update the subject lines on the email campaigns themselves as well, or will they automatically override any subject line that was saved to the campaign?

If the automation has a subject line, and the campaign itself is blank, will the subject line still pull from the one set up in an automation?

Also, is there anyway to enter a pre-header at the automation stage, or does this need to be entered on a campaign level to populate?

Thanks and let me know,

Sam

Hi Sam!

I can definitely answer your questions on automated campaigns.

Automated campaigns will use whatever subject line is set when setting up the automation workflow, regardless of what was saved when first creating the campaign.

Pre-header text cannot be used with an automated campaign, unless it is coded as part of the automated mailing's template. This requires a custom-coded template, whether you create one in your parent tiered account (located in the Assets section)  or hire our Design team to create one for you.
