Hello! You can't actually edit a scheduled mailing. You'll need to cancel the scheduled mailing by clicking on the Scheduled tab (next to the Drafts tab in the Campaigns section) and go from there. Once you cancel the scheduled mailing, the campaign will automatically move back into Drafts. Hope this helps!

Greetings!
Apparently, I was writing a response at nearly the same time as BookPage above. If I understand your question correctly, you would need to cancel the scheduled mailing -- then make your edits and reschedule the mailing.

From Campaigns, click on the Scheduled tab and find the pull-down list on the right-hand side of your scheduled mailing. You can cancel the schedule here without destroying your email -- it just changes and moves your email back to a Draft email status.

Edit your draft email as needed, and when you are satisfied with the changes, you can reschedule the email to be sent.

Yes, i came to the forums to suggest this very thing that Poppy Store has suggested.  I don't understand WHY you have to cancel, edit, then go through all of the scheduling steps again after you edit.  Why doesn't the send just read the current version at the time of scheduled send, so you could edit it infinite times up until it's sent.  Why have to go through all of these steps?  I know for sure another mass emailing service permits edits until the point of actually sending without having to cancel and reschedule.

Hi Loh -- While this isn't the current functionality of the editor and scheduled mailings, I will definitely put a feature request into the Product Team on your behalf! If they have any work planned around this or think making this kind of change is feasible at this time, I'll let you know here!

A further question - when you cancel a campaign, it remembers the subject line, sender, etc. but wipes out the recipients.  The recipients is the biggest pain to reconstruct!!  Why not just save them as the other data is remembered?

I think that decision was made intentional because we had some reports at one time of mailings being sent to groups they hadn't intended to send to after neglecting to remove them.  The decision was made that it would be easier to clear those out every time the Review and Send screen is accessed.  I see in this use case that it would be useful for you if they remembered.

I'm curious as to why the recipients list is such a pain for you to reconstruct?  Perhaps it would be helpful to set up some segments in order to simplify that process for you.

I do have segments, but that only works for the large to: group.  The people I work for usually have 3-5 people that they want to have carbon copied, so I have to type or paste in their email addresses.  It would be easiest if I could just paste in a delimited text string (like I could in another bulk emailing system I use), but no, I have to paste each one in individually.  I send for about 35 people and they EACH have different carbon copy lists EACH time.

Some of the carbon copies are in our database, but some are not.  Even if they are, it's faster to paste it in than start typing and have Emma look up the email address out of over 40,000.

So, my procedure:
  1. add my segment (usually our bulk emails are to a single state and I have segments created for each of them)
  2. add my "all" carbon copy group who receives every emailing
  3. paste in each individual copied person
  4. copy and paste
  5. copy and paste
  6. copy and paste

oh crud, I forgot to make it 15 point.
  1. cancel Review and Send
  2. edit campaign
  3. add my segment
  4. add my "all" carbon copy group
  5. paste in each individual copied person
  6. copy and paste
  7. copy and paste
  8. copy and paste

If it remembered my recipients, that would save steps.
If I could paste in a delimited string, that would save even more steps.
If I could edit a scheduled mailing, that would save even more steps.
If I could have a template pre-set to 15 point, that would save even more steps.

So, that's the long version of why it's such a pain to recreate my recipient list if I have to cancel my mailing.

Is this being considered yet? We are constantly making last minute changes to segments, groups, send dates, send times, etc. and it really sucks having to cancel and re-do EVERYTHING each time we do this.

Hi Ashley, thanks for checking in! This is on our Product Team's radar. They'll be considering this as part of future product work, but it's not on our current product roadmap. I'll keep you updated here!

It would be great to get this on the radar again. It would be so much easier to simply edit a scheduled mailing rather than cancel and re-do.

hey there MBH&H,

This functionality is actually currently being worked on!  We already added rescheduling and editing send details to the Home page calendar, and the next step is going to be adding in the functionality to allow you to edit the mailing as a whole.  :)

STAY TUNED!

Another vote for being able to edit scheduled posts. It's frankly bizarre that this functionality doesn't already exist.

I am another user experiencing the same frustration. I note that as of 2 yrs ago this was being looked at by your Product Team.  This just seems like such an obvious issue to address!?

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out and I totally get your frustrations here.

I know that this feature isn't coming along as swiftly as desired, but there are plenty of considerations for our Product team to address along the way. They have to ask and answer difficult questions like...How many customers is this impacting? How should this feature be prioritized in relation to other features on the product roadmap? How many resources and hours will need to be allocated for development? Will it impact any other parts of the application?

As you can see, there is a lot that goes into this process, so thanks for your ongoing patience as we work to develop, test and implement it!
