Edit padding area to image captions

Hello!

This is my first post, so please bear with me~

I love the drag and drop feature, which I go crazy on when it comes to our monthly newsletter. However, I noticed something that I that I would be able to edit but cannot. that when I drag and drop a "Left Combo," it already has text wrap around the image. I go in the Setting to add a caption and edit with smaller text.

What's odd is that even though I edited the text to make it smaller, the caption container that holds the text does not seem to adhere to the text size, and maintain a standard 12 point size. This effects the text wrap and creates an awkward amount of white space below the caption area with the smaller text:

Is there a way in the image setting where you can edit the padding of
the caption area so it does not maintain a single default size? When you think about it, "The MAC will be..." should be flushed lift under the image.I also to adapt for now by placing text on the image in a program outside of Emma, haha.

Thank you,

The MAC

Hi there, and welcome to Emma Community! I see what you mean with the spacing beneath the caption. I tried in my own account making the caption text 8 pixels, and that didn’t make the text in the combo block wrap any differently.

I’m checking in with our Editor Team to learn more about the padding that’s built beneath image captions, and I’ll let you know what I find out!

Good morning! Our Editor Team let me know that there aren’t plans right now to address the padding beneath a caption. It’s built in to keep your text from running too closely together and making the caption difficult to read, but I also understand why you’d want to manually control that spacing.

We’ll keep an eye on this, so anyone else looking for this capability, vote it up!

I'd like to eliminate the caption. Is there a way to do that?

Hi, I am trying to adjust the amount of space below a caption. I found a post from 5 months ago saying there are no plans to add that option at that time. Is there a way to do this now?

Using Google Chrome, editing a newsletter with an image and text.  Caption is turned off.  No paragraph insertions, etc.  Looks fine in edit but in preview there is a huge gap between the image and the text.  How can I get rid of it?
