In our email titled Global Roundtable webinar with edits Mar 8, we have the template set to a two column setting. We are only updating the text in this email but when we save the email it reverts back to one column, removes the header image and background color for the main column of the email. We are using Google Chrome - Version 55.0.2883.87 m.

You can look in our sent files at this template to see how it should appear.

Can you please take a look at this issue and let us know how to fix it as it is becoming very frustrating.

Hey there Amber,

Taking a look in your account, I pulled both of the mailings you mentioned, which were both using the template "ATMIA Global - 1 Column" .  You do have a few templates in your account that are set up in a 2-column layout.

Seeing that, I opened a new mailing using the "ATMIA Global - 2 Column" template and it is opening with 2 columns.

Perhaps you could walk me through your process a bit more?   Are you starting new mailings using the template or are you just making copies of older mailings?

If you have a mailing that you're wanting to save as a template, you can use the SAVE AS TEMPLATE button under the save button and then create a new mailing using that template as a starting place.

Let me know if I'm missing something here or if I can explain anything more.

Cheers!

Thank you for taking a look so quickly. Our staff tends to take make copies from older mailings as they find editing the text from the older mailings is easiest. So ATMIA Webinar - Global Roundtable 3.11 - COPY 2016-10-04 10:18 AM email would have been used to make a copy of for the Global Roundtable webinar with edits Mar 8 email. Even though that email was originally one column, once it was used and saved as two columns, it should retain that setting. Correct? Why would it revert back to one column?  This is my co-worker that is having this problem. I also use Google Chrome, Version 55.0.2883.87 (64-bit) and can easily edit and update the email in the same manner and it retains the correct version. We need to figure out how to allow her to work with the template and it keep the correct changes.

Yeah, I'm not able to replicate the problem that your co-worker is seeing.  You are right that if you make those changes, save, and exit, it will retain those settings.

I will say that continually making copies of mailings instead of starting from a fresh template can cause some funkiness eventually.  I would suggest that if they have a certain layout that they like to use to use the "SAVE AS TEMPLATE" option to save a new one and start fresh.  Just every now and again to refresh the template code.

If they continue having issues, even after using a new template, then we may need to try a different browser to see if there is a setting or plugin in the browser that's keeping things from saving properly.  Especially if you're not able to replicate either.
