Email Verification Tool Before Import

There are instances where lists of emails are gathered by paper from events.  These emails are entered into an Excel sheet.  Given issues with legibility, people not writing their emails correctly, and data entry typos, the possibility for a higher bounce rate is greatly increased.  In order to avoid causing issues, a tool would be nice to verify the validity of email addresses before importing them into a list.  Not everyone can collect emails electronically or have users enter them electronically in all situations.  I would imagine MyEmma would provide some kind of tool to help with this situation, but I can't find anything.  Is there really nothing to help with this aside from using the tired old method of telnet to connect to servers and do it all manually?  Thank you in advance!

Hey Brian,

Thanks for reaching out!  We currently don't offer any email verification tools apart from sending an email to the addresses in order to get a response from the receiving servers.

I did want to point out, in case you were unaware, that we do have an iPad app available for gathering email addresses called Guestbook.  Check out info on it here:

Emma Guestbook

Using that could take pen and paper out of the equation.

Otherwise, I'm going to pass your request for a validity check before send over to our developers.  We're always looking for ways to improve the app and give people the tools they need.
