Email signup form with multiple groups as options

Email Signup Form --Selecting Multiple Groups

I would like to set up an email signup form where folks can select different group options, and Emma can sort them appropriately.  

"I would like order status updates"
"I would like promotional emails with coupons"
"I would like updates on new products"

Is it possible for someone to sign up to be in more than one type of email group?

If I understand your question correctly, then I believe the short answer is yes. Let me jump in here and try to point out one way you could do this.

When you begin to create a new email sign-up form, it should look something like this.

Notice the button on the right-hand side to add or remove groups. When you click on that button (I added the red arrow), you will be presented with a selection window that should look something like this (your audience group choices will be different than mine).

According to the directions at the top, you can check "Display" to let your subscribers see and select that group. You also have the option to check both "Add" and Display" to have each audience group display as pre-checked.

I have not tested this for line length, so you may be limited as to how many characters you can use in each audience group name, but that should be easy enough to determine.

I certainly hope I have not confused things for you here. Will that do what you need?
