Our local school district uses EMMA and just recently launched using PeachJar to manage flyers since you can't embed PDFs into EMMA emails. Wondering if you ever plan on changing that?

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for a great question.  Currently I don't believe this is something that is planned to be built into Emma's functionality.

There are, however a couple of useful workarounds you could implement which my colleague Katie explains in this community post here.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this :)

Hi Stephanie,

I did a bit of quick research on the PeachJar website. From everything I can see, their tool takes an 'image' of your pdf and places that image into an email. This is similar to the second option in the conversation that Sam linked to above.

As for you initial question around embedding pdfs? That work is not at all on the roadmap for Emma as it would significantly decrease successful delivery of mailings based on the current email environment. But, including an image of the pdf, just like PeachJar is doing, is already an option in your Emma account.

Although we don't have an integration with PeachJar, you should be able to take an image of that pdf, place it in your mailing, and then link that image to a landing page or online signup form of your choosing. We typically don't recommend sending one large image in an email because mail filters will sometimes block delivery of that mailing and in other cases your recipients may see slow download time of that image depending on their data connection.

I hope that helps and please post here if you have any followup question.
