Define custom fields and include list of entries in Emma Guestbook

I have a question, idea, and praise for you all at once:

We used Emma Guestbook at a social tonight and I must say, I'm smitten. It is hard to believe that I'll never again have to waste hours of my day transcribing e-mails into an excel spreadsheet so that I can import them into our contact list. A++

Questions and feature requests:
1) Why does the app weigh 173 MB? I don't mind, necessarily, but that is big. Just curious.
2) Please add an option to define custom fields. Last name is not very relevant to our organization but zip code would be, for example. I would really love it if there were multiple user-definable input types- text fields, drop down lists, multiple choice, etc...
3) By that same token, I wish that the back-end "entries" tab provided a list of the actual entries, rather than just a banner with the number of entries collected.

Thanks so much for the kind words - we're so glad that you like the app and find it useful!

As for your question about the file size, I have to be honest and say that I'm not sure. I don't have a developer background, so I wouldn't know enough to say what parts of pieces of the app make up that weight. I'm sure it's all important though!

You've got some great feature requests here. With our initial version of the app, we decided to try and keep things simple. The intention there being that we can then add in the features that customers are requesting the most - instead of loading it down with potentially unwanted features right off the bat. We really appreciate you giving your feedback - it will be helpful for our app designers! Let me know if I can lend a hand with anything else!

Hi there! I want to jump in to add a bit more after talking with our product owner for Emma Guestbook:

1. The Guestbook app is primarily that large due to the size of the background images. We want our backgrounds to look good on both retina and non-retina displays. We explored loading backgrounds via an internet connection after the app was installed. This approach would lower the overall size of the app. However, we decided giving customers the option to choose a background regardless of whether they were online or offline was worth the increased app size.

2 & 3. Great suggestions, and ones we're considering for a future version. Thanks for providing examples of how you'd use these!

Custom fields would make the app more useful... and the option of editing or disabling the confirmation e-mail (when you have a custom trigger that does this) should be considered. The app is well made, but those options would give it a much-needed boost!
