Sorry for what seems like an elementary question, but in Template Builder I would like to work from a previously created email and not start from scratch. Is this possible?

Hey there!   Thanks for reaching out!

Template Builder is sort of like the top of the pyramid, where everything flows down to the sub-accounts.

That being said, it doesn't really work the other way around.  Our design services team can move a mailing from one of your subs into the Template Builder for a small fee.  It just involves moving some code, images, and adjusting the code a bit for that to work.

If you'd like, I can put them in touch with you or you can reach out to them at www.myemma.com/services  .

Let me know!

I second Just Write For You.  Sometimes you start with a blank template, make it yours and just continue building the email.  You realize that format and layout work - and work well - and now you want to make that a template.  In practice, this is a logical flow, especially if you're sending lots of different types of emails on a regular basis.

It'd be great if this ability could be added - without paying for services to migrate assets to the template block.

The alternative has led to a lot of "COPY" emails that sit in our Campaigns list that goes on and on...
