Error message when trying to opt back in

I just followed these instructions, clicked on the URL, got the form, entered the email address, submitted it with the Yes button and got the unhelpful  "Oops, that wasn't supposed to happen" message.

I am sorry that you are seeing that message.  Just to confirm, is the contact receiving the confirm to opt in email in their inbox?  Although you are seeing that oops message, I just want to verify if the contact is receiving the confirmation email in their inbox.
