exclude non opens without missing new adds

I'm attempting to create a segment that includes everyone who hasn't opened an email in the last 4 months. However, when I create it, the segment is including those who were just added to the list (since by being new contacts they have yet to receive an email). What do I need to do to ensure those who have been recently added are not excluded?

Hi there!  

What you're looking to do there is add in a criteria for "Contact Information" >  "Contact Since" > "Is Before" , an then define the date range.  This means the segment will only pull in folks who were in your account before the date you choose.
