Is there a way to export responses from ALL mailings at once?

This is a great question! Campaign responses can be exported one at a time, or you can do a comparison of up to five mailings at once. There's not a way to export the response data for individual campaigns in bulk. Would you mind sharing why you're hoping to gather all of those exports at once?

I was hoping to do an export of all campaigns (opens & click throughs) to incorporate that data into my master database.

Hi! Thanks for passing along some more info about how you’d use that feature. It’s been a while since we chatted here, but I wanted to let you know that I’m going to change this topic to an idea and then pass it along to our product developers.

Thanks for the feedback! The ability to export response data from all mailings is not on our roadmap for 2014. With that said, surfacing more useful data is a theme we'll be exploring in 2014. Our current thinking is two-fold: making our response data more visual and easier to glean insights cross-mailings while also making audience data more meaningful at the member level.

Could I ask what you're using to manage your master database and what other information you're pulling in? Are you more interested in your top-level response data for the mailing or the interactions of your audience members (opens, clicks, shares)?

We just released our Emma for Salesforce integration and we're assessing interest for additional customer relationship management products, like Highrise. Just curious if you're using a CRM that other Emma customers may also be using or if you're doing something a bit more specific.

Hopefully some of our product plans around data will help save you time and provide more value, even if it doesn't do *exactly* what you're asking for.

Thanks again for your feedback.

David, Has been any further thought on adding the functionality to download all data for all mailings? We would be interested in the top-level response data only.

Hi Kevin,

We just released some updates to our compare mailings feature in the last few days. With the update, we've removed the cap where you previously could only compare 5 mailings at a time, and we've also improved the export itself. Here's the idea that was proposed in the community if you're curious. To see the feature, head on over to Response and then click on the 'compare mailings' button at the top right. If you're looking to export all mailings, I would suggest making sure you can see all of your mailings in a single list by changing how many mailings get displayed at the bottom left of the grid, and then select the box at the top left to select all. From there you'll have two options:
  • Performance summary — a detailed report of the response data for the emails you've selected
  • Click summary — see how many clicks you've received in the emails you've selected
I would love to hear your feedback on whether this covers what you're looking for. We also have some additional refinements in the works right now that we'll be releasing in the next couple of weeks such as filtering by date and excluding test mailings.

Best,
David
