For quite some time we have experienced dead-slow server response from the EMMA servers. This gets more acute after 2pm Eastern time.

Literal measurements today: Re-write a text block, 21 seconds. Upload a medium res image with no re-sizing required (87kB) 33 seconds.Auto-post to social media, time-out on server, unexecuted command.

This is happening on a full T+ feed line, where we are up and down-loading gigabyte-size files all day long with 93% bandwidth effectiveness.

I'd love to hear if other users are struggling with this or not.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff!

Thanks for reaching out to us about your slow upload times. I too have run into this from time to time with our customer's usage. There are some usual suspects that we see in these circumstances we can look into.

To start, here are a few questions to help pin this down:
1) Does this happen when logging in from another location/computer?
2) Have you checked your image library? Sometimes this can slow things down because there's a threshold of 6MB per image file, but images over 1MB can cause Emma to run slow.
3) How long has this been happening?

The main suspect i've run into is having a bit too large of an image library. More often than not, this can lead to slower load times and even time outs. As I looked into your image library, it looked big: from some large file sizes to large amounts of image files. So, I would definitely recommend trimming the size of that image library down by removing unwanted files and saving smaller file sizes from here on. It's a lot to remove one by one, so save (download) what you need and we can have a developer mass-delete all images in the library.

As a side-note, deleting images from your library does not remove them from your mailings.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions/answers or any concerns!
