Facebook images and social sharing are not working as intended

Facebook has implemented a new permission process for our application in Emma, and all Facebook integration functionality in Emma is currently not working as intended.

What this means for you:

1. There are no Facebook albums or images available; you'll see an empty list when you try to access your Facebook images while in the editor.



2. The Facebook posting on the Review & Send success page and the Response page appear to be working and will say that the post was successful, but it will not share your mailing, since the permissions have not been set yet.



We are working to correct this, yet it will take a few days to finalize with Facebook. In the meantime, you can download an image from your Facebook account, save it to your desktop and upload it into your Emma account for use the old-fashioned way.

To share a mailing, go to your Response page, click on the mailing, click the Open webview in a new window link, copy that URL and post it to your social sites manually.

Hi Katie,

Not sure if you've noticed but you also can't share for twitter.

It works on a computer fine but when you try sharing from a phone it comes up with an error page!

This is a big issue for us.

Thanks so much for letting us know! I don't *think* this is related to Facebook's recent change, so I'm moving this out to its own post so we can investigate separately!

Good news: Facebook has approved our social connector, so this is back in action. :)
