I just had a scheduled email go out. When I tested it the personalization field worked just fine. For the "heads-up" email that went to me when the email sent out, rather than the personalization the "

Hi [% member:first_name default="BandiT User" %]," displayed. Does this mean that all of the emails sent out this way? If so, how do I avoid this in the future.

Heads-up email...

Hopefully it's the same case for you, but when we use personalization, it doesn't work in the heads-up email, but always works in the actual email being sent out. (We have multiple in-house people per list/segment to be sure of this)

Just chiming in here to confirm that the heads-up emails do not show the personalization in the same way that a recipient would see. Personalization works by grabbing the specified data from a contact's record, but the heads-up emails do not look into that database and can't pull the same information.

I recommend considering Ashley's process of adding yourself or others to the list so that you can have a copy of the end-result with the personalization intact.
