Folders for organizing audiences!

I think it would be incredible helpful if the audience section allowed for folders to be created so that audiences can be organized. We have many audiences we reach out to regularly; it is difficult and time consuming to search through such a long list.

Hello! You’re able to create audience groups on the Audience page that serve as folders for alike members. I’m not sure I’m following what you’re looking to do — Would you mind giving a couple real-world examples for folders you want to create?

Katie, I might be able to provide an example where this would be useful.

We have a few main/master lists for overall, system-wide mailings. But, being a franchised organization, we also have many smaller groups based on searches broken up for geographical areas. In addition, we have groups and searches specific to online promotions.

In our case, it would be beneficial to visually organize these different types of groups and searches into folders for easier viewing.

Thanks, Matt! Let me take this to our product teams when we’re back in the office next week after the holidays. Appreciate your input as always!

Thanks for your patience! I’ve heard back from our product teams that while this idea has been batted around in the past, it isn’t a project for the next few quarters, with other efforts taking precedence. I’m marking this as Not Planned, but please feel free to add your vote or more comments.

Yes, it would save a lot of time and be much easier to find what we're looking for because there are many audience groups that we don't use regularly. It is necessary that these audience groups still exist, but they clutter our growing list of audience groups.

PLEASE, PLEASE ,PLEASE... Begging for file folders or an organizational tool for audiences, campaigns, images, etc. We are moving from Constant Contact and I am trying to archive our data. We send out easily 4 emails/month so you can imagine the the # of images uploaded, audiences, etc. it gets cumbersome to try and search for past messages or images if I want to reuse.  Would totally save us a TON of time.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to add my vote. I'd love a way to organize our quickly growing lists of audience groups and segments. In the absence of folders I'm going to try to come up with some standard naming conventions, so similar lists will at least be together alphabetically. Has anyone done this, or come up with another work around?

Hello!  I see that this in an old thread but I would LOVE a way to organize our audience by folders - we basically have audiences that could easily be subgroups, and it would be great to be able to either click and select a whole group, or expand and only send to some of the subgroups within it.

We need this feature badly. The folder feature should be extended to images, documents, and campaigns as well. We're new to Emma and I can see that after a few months of use, it will become extremely difficult to find images, documents, and emails that we want to reuse.

I would find this extremely helpful as well. I've been working in Emma since late January and have 1569 sent campaigns. It's already tedious trying to find specific campaigns and that's just going to get worse as time passes.

Yes. This should be a priority. Four years since the suggestion was proposed and comments are still getting passed on.

I echo everyone's sentiments. We have an agency account and one of our clients complains vigorously about the number of lists they have to wade through. Please make this a priority!

Please make organizing audiences a priority. As I begin to import lists, I'm slowly beginning to see how this will be a major problem as the number of lists we have increases. Please make this a priority!

Hi!

While this is feature is still on our radar, I'll be sure to let our Product Team aware that you all are excited about a possible solution.

In the meantime, a little audience maintenance might help alleviate the stress of having too many groups to sort through. If you are no longer sending to a group, you can easily delete the group name without deleting the audience members themselves. After all, the group is just a container for those contacts and it will not affect their membership to other groups.

Along the same lines, you can also merge groups by copying one group into another. This option makes plenty of sense if there is virtually no difference in the groups other than import date.

I hope this information provides some potential solutions until this feature exists and if you need more detail regarding audience management, please take a look at this article from the Emma Support Hub. - Cheers!
