Font size / color inconsistencies

Why does my font size not look consistent from mobile to desktop, and even throughout my composed message on a single platform? Not only that in my newsletter there are three paragraphs and the first one always looks different. Either the color or the font size changes and I cannot get it to match the style of the rest of the writing. I know enough HTML to change the code but nothing works. In the attached image you can see that the font size in the first paragraph is larger than the rest of the text. The font is Arial in 12 pt.

Steps are basic:
1) compose message
2) send test
3) test email does not match the style in the platform.

Hi there!

Typically when we see these sorts of font formatting issues /inconsistencies, it's due to some code that is brought over in text that is copied and pasted from another source.

I see here you said you've checked the code and not found the reason.

Oftentimes, finding the exact reason for that is pretty tough, and when I'm having issues with text formatting, the easiest thing to do is to paste all of the text into editpad.org (which will strip all underlying formatting) and then copy from editpad.org back into a BRAND NEW text block in Emma, then apply my formatting.  It does need to be a brand new text block, just to make sure none of the original code is stuck in there.

There could be a number of things happening behind the scenes that could cause this, and it's often easier to do that than try and find what's going on.

If you'd like me to take a look at the mailing, let me know the sub-account you're working in and the mailing name and I'll be glad to take a look.
