We spend some time organising our newsletters within the templates provided and we are happy with how they look when they are ready to go out, but some things change during the sending process and the whole message ends up looking messy and disorganised - how can we be sure that the Preview matches the actual live message our subscribers receive? Is there a template that we can use which does not change around on its own so much? I can send on some screen shots if it would help to show the difference between the Preview and the final message?

Hi there,

Thanks for posting. What's the name of the campaign you see this happening in, and has it happened in past campaigns?

If you will provide some screenshots of what you see in preview vs. what appears in the inbox, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, if you can let me know the email client you use (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), that will help as well. I appreciate your time!

We are having this issue as well. I have to send multiple tests and preview on multiple computers to double/triple check how formatting turns out in multiple browsers and email clients. Additionally, over the last 2 days the formatting menu will not let me change font sizes to match in all the text boxes. argh. so frustrating. each time I have had to go out of the "campaigns" screen, come back, remove all the text formatting, and then reformat, change the font, change the spacing, change the font color, etc.

I think i have it right now, but i dare not make any more changes or else I'll have to do it all over again.

Here it is at the final Preview immediately before sending. I found it very difficult to get the top three stories to align so that the dividing lines between top and bottom were precisely in line, but after a lot of fiddling about with picture ratios and sizes, I decided that this was good enough:

And then here it is a few minutes later once it had been sent out to our mailing list:

... with big gaps all over the place and the columns and segments acting independently. This was received by our entire mailing list, and it looks very poor. I think it almost looks worse when you view it online. I'd love a template where the sections didn't move independently and the boxes/picture sizes were fixed so that you couldn't go wrong.

This screenshot was viewed through hotmail, but the result is the same on gmail.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Hi there,

After looking at your campaign, I see that the images and text that have moved are text and image combo blocks, and text wrapping is turned on. When text wrapping is turned on, a white space may appear in your campaign, as the editor cannot accommodate wrapping in a small column, so it essentially "pushes" the content down, which creates the white space when you view the campaign in preview, or when the campaign is sent to the inbox. To prevent the white space from appearing, you'll want to turn wrapping off:

The white space will appear in your campaign, and you'll be able to delete the extra space out. If you want the columns to line up, you'll want to try using separate image and text boxes, or you can utilize the caption function of the picture and insert your text into the caption box.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions!
