Changing the Google Analytics source parameter

Hi -

In my analytics I can see where my changes to the Google Analytics box correspond to the campaign name, but I see no way to change the "Source" on a per email basis. Is there a way to change this, as currently it shows up as "newsletter", but not all of my emails are newsletters.

If anything, if it's not possible to change this it should say something like "Emma" or "MyEmma".

Thanks,

Kyle

Hey Kyle,

When you add Google Analytics by adding the campaign name, Emma automatically fills in the Medium and Source. There isn't a way to manually change the source if you're adding Google Analytics on the Test send or Review and Send screen, thought I can definitely see how that would be a useful feature for you. I'll let our development team know you're looking for more control over your Analytics, and hopefully we'll see that built in the future.

For more information on the feature as it stands now, head here.

In the meantime, there is a workaround, but it would require building your own links. Head here to Google's Link Builder tool and you have complete control over each parameter. Then, once you've built those links, add them to your text or images, and don't add Google Analytics on the Test or Review and Send screen.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions!
