Hey @Ambit Energy,

You're going to use this call:
http://api.myemma.com/api/external/members.html#delete--#account_id-members-#member_id

Note: The member, along with any associated response and history information, will be completely removed from the database.

Hope that helps,
Kyle

Hi Kyle, Thanks for the reply. I used the same call however it is not completely removing/deleting. What I mean by that is first it just puts it to the "deleted items" list and even when I manually "delete permanently" from the deleted item list and tried to add the same contact back using the API call, it still got added as opted-out status (the contact that I am deleting in this case has an opted-out member status). Basically I am trying to do the trick for opting the member back in that way. It is really frustrating since the API doesn't allow to opt a member back in :( :(  At least why is it not completely removing the contact?

Hey @Ambit Energy,

Emma will respect an opt-out even if the member is deleted and readded at a later date. It's to protect/honor that member's wish to be opted out.

If you member wants back in, they will need to use a signup form, which will in-turn email your member for confirmation they want back in. Both of these steps will need to be completed before the member will be active again.

Classic Form or LightBox Forms

Hope that helps,
Kyle
