How do I send an email to new emails without sending twice to repeat emails?

We collect emails from customers, some are entirely new, others are repeat, meaning we get their email address weekly. We've recently implemented a welcome email, which is great, but I was wondering if there is a way to upload the list weekly of totally unique emails. Aside from manually sorting and deleting in excel, we want to keep the opt outs and errors within the welcome group, but don't want to send the same welcome email to the same person more than once.

There might be an easier way to do this but here's what I would do. Create a group where you will keep everyone that has already received a welcome message (for example, call it 'master welcome data'). Once you load the data for a new group to Emma, create a segment where email addresses are in the new group but not in the 'master welcome data'. Your new segment will have only the folks that have not received a welcome message yet. Does that help?

Since this is a Welcome email I assume you are targeting contacts that have not received emails from you before. I would try creating a segment based on response history and "Search for people who:" "have not" "received". This segment will send only to contacts who you have never previously sent to.
