I am trying to upload a list of contacts into My Emma as a "segment" and am unable to do so. I create a new import, upload the list and only one of the contacts is added to my new group. I believe that some of the contacts exist within the database already, but I'd like to upload this list so I can segment out 200 NEW contacts for a specific mailing. Note: All contacts  were added into My Emma on the same date, so it is impossible to sort or segment them based on that criteria. How can I upload this list as a "segment"?  OR  Separate group? The file is an excel file with 200 email addresses.

Greg with Emma Support here!

It sounds like the best solution would be to import your contacts into a new group (along with any other groups you might want them in).

You can select a new group in step 4 of the import process; the option is listed after the list of your existing groups.

Importing your list to a new group will not remove existing contacts from any groups they are already in. So you can send to the new group, and still preserve your old groups.

If you have any questions, let me know.
