I'd like to know how to edit and/or add preheader text to an automated email/campaign. When it hits my inbox it just shows the image link of the template header. Thanks.

On Chrome. Testing in Outlook.

Hi! There isn't a way to add preheader text to an automated mailing, yet it's a request we've heard from a few folks. I am adding your account to that list and will keep you in the loop about any changes.

In the meantime, if you're using a custom template, we can add alt text to the template header image so that's what pulls into your inbox as the  preheader text. If that works for you, let me know the name of the template you're using and what you'd like the alt text to read. :)

Hi again! We're looking at how to incorporate this in our next iteration of Automation. I'll keep you posted as we draw closer to that work.

Our Product Team is planning to implement some automation work in the next few months and plan to add this feature as part of that work. I'll update you here as I have more information.

Hey there!  We don't have it added just yet, but I've spoken with my Product team about this and we are working on some improvements to the Automation Workflow builder, so stay tuned and I'll post back here when we do get it rolled out!

Any movement on this???  I need to automate RESENDS, specifically to people who have not RSVP'd.  I would like to be able to add text that says something like "Hi, there are only 2 weeks until the convention.  Please let us know if you will be attending."

Hi there!

We have not added in the ability to set up preheader text in an automated mailing.  Though it sounds like you're asking for something different.

In our EmmaPLUS account, we do offer some advanced automation features like branching automation.  With this you could have the original email send, and then send a followup based on whether or not your contacts have performed a specific action, opening or clicking a mailing.

In the example you gave, you could have the first email in the series triggered by a date-based trigger or a field change trigger, then you could have a followup sent at a predetermined time with a different subject line.

If you're interested in taking a look at the EmmaPLUS account features, I'll be happy to get you in touch with your account rep.  Just give me the word!  :)

Cheers!
