Hi Joslin DC -

Here's a link for setting sign up forms in general.

One way to customize to get your results is to use your signup form along with segments in your Audience management tab.

For example, say you have three newsletters: Cooking, Jewelry, and Exercise.
You can set up your form to say:

Email address:
Name:
Check the box next to the newsletter you're interested in receiving
- Cooking
- Jewelry
- Exercise

Then, in Audience, create a segment each for those subscribers who are interested in each of your newsletters. You can read up on segments here.

Just make sure to make selecting a newsletter interest mandatory on your sign up form, so you know which people get which newsletter. Using the segments is also dynamic, so people are free to go in an update their own preferences and Emma will automatically update settings for you - so you can manage your list a little more "Hands off."

Does that make sense? Was that your question? I hope it helps! Good luck!

Hi, Joslin:

You can set up your three (or any number) custom newsletter types as custom contact fields with the checkbox menu option.

"Manage contact fields" is the menu item you'll select at the upper right on your "Audience" main page.

Then, when you create your signup form and go in to select which fields you want to appear in the signup, you'll choose those three custom fields along with name, email, and the other fields you normally use.

I hope this helps!
